Hair Cuts
Salon Tips
Hair cuts can be fun and exciting, but they can also be disasters.
That's why finding the right stylists to give you a hair cut is so important.
When entering a salon we hope to leave with a beautiful new
hairstyle, however too often times we will leave disappointed.
That is why our experienced experts have compiled these few
tips which are designed to ensure a happier and better
experience at the salons.

Tip #1
Choose a Salon Where you Feel Comfortable
When trying to find a new salon, it is important that you feel
relaxed and comfortable. If you walk into to a salon and you
feel uncomfortable for any reason, trust your instincts and
leave. Because chances are your instincts will be right and end up with a bad hair cut.
Find out as much information as you can. How experience do they have?
How many hair cutting techniques do they know? That way when you
request a "Razor" cut you don't end up with a "Chop Shop".
A good rule for choosing a stylist is, If you like the way
the stylists has her/his hair cut, you'll probably like the way
they cut yours. Also check what kind of tools they are using to style your hair,
if there using a Sedu, or Solia hair flat iron it is a good indication they
are a quality salon. However if there using a $20 hair styling tool
you definitely want to move on.
Tip # 2
Be True to Yourself
Hairstyles can label and define a person, speaking volumes about
them. What is your hairstyle saying about you?
Be true to your personality and don't be talked into a style
you're not ready for. Talk with your hair stylist. If she/he is
a good stylist they'll be willing to work with you.
Tip #3
Don't Make Big Hair Changes
Sometimes when a woman is depressed, she may go to a salon and
make drastic changes to her hair (For example: Going from very
long hair cut, to very short hair cut). This is all too often a huge mistake, and
can result in being even more depressed than before. Tell your
stylist if you are having a bad day, week, month or year. A new
look can be very rewarding, but be honest with your stylist and
your feelings. Stylists are usually excellent listeners and are
pretty good at figuring out how much change you are really ready
for.
Tip #4
Listen and Enjoy the Experience
Listen and learn from your stylist. A good stylist will educate
you about your hair and hair cuts. Learn as much as you can about what works
best for you. If you have a good stylist she/he should write up
a card about you. These cards come in handy, not only for the
stylist but also for you as well.
Tip #5
Find a Stylist that you Trust
When you finally find a hair stylist you like stick with them,
finding someone you can trust is the most important factor in
having a good experience. That way you'll always get good hair cuts.
